Festival Republic is the UK’s largest festival and event promoter with a history going back over 35 years. The Reading and Leeds Festivals are the company’s largest events and attract huge crowds, with around 175,000 revellers jointly attending each year over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Through a collaborative partnership between Simply Cups, Festival Republic, Huhtamaki, Pronto Pack, and Carlsberg, almost half a million paper cups were recovered from the festivals, all of which were diverted from landfill and/or incineration and which will now be turned into new, functional products.
